Working with Ilana was super fun and helpful. While I love fashion and have great pieces, I'm a working mom so I’m always tired and lazy with my clothes. She was able to give me a fresh perspective and get me excited about the pieces I already have. Ilana came up with some cool combinations, yet when I disagreed with her she listened to me and took my feedback. One of my favorite thing she did was show me a new way to fold my t-shirts, so that I can see everything I have in the drawer. She made me laugh a lot and was all around a pleasure to work with. I'm thrilled to have connected with a younger hip woman who can make sure I never get old and boring.

Ilana taught me to think of my wardrobe as an extension of myself. She thoroughly examined my existing collection and encouraged me to dispose of items I no longer loved. This felt like being coached out of a bad habit that I should have shaken years ago. I felt good after she purged my closet of barely-worn sweaters and pants. I felt better when she helped me replace those items at stores she knew I would appreciate and in cuts, colors, and fabrics best suited to my preferences. However, the best feeling of the whole process came when she regarded my wardrobe, new and old, and dresses me. She paired tops and skirts I never would have thought to pair but which all made me feel like a supermodel - which is saying something for a 5’0 curvy girl like me. I seriously cannot highly recommend her process enough!

Ilana was so attentive to what my style needs were while reviewing my wardrobe. She thought about what fit me and what looked good, but also what would suit me as a person. While she helped me feel confident enough to step outside my comfort zone, she didn’t ask me to wear anything that didn’t feel like “me”.
She has a great eye and was able to make choices about pieces in my own wardrobe that I never would have thought of. She also helped me to recognize items that were no longer serving me that I needed to let go of, and identified holes in my wardrobe—basics and current pieces—that I could invest in and benefit from.
I had such a great experience working with Ilana and I am excited to start wearing the outfits she picked out for me. It felt like hanging out with a good friend—except she knows way more about fashion than most of my friends! I definitely consult her when I need to go shopping in the future.

I tend to think of myself as a pretty fashionable person, who has has their own distinct style. That being said, I was curious as to how Ilana would take that into consideration and compile outfits that I not only felt comfortable in, but that also felt like myself. Ilana nailed it.
She came in, re organized my closet and forced me toss the truly junk pieces of clothing I was hoarding. In addition, she got me to see what I thought were my not-so-wearable or tired pieces, as something new and exciting. She also paired some of my funkiest most eccentric, almost costume-like pieces with completely wearable accessories and basic pairings in order to make them functional for my day to day. Ilana as a stylist, was uplifting and gracious in the delivery of her opinions every step of the way.
To finish, we had a shoot with some of the outfits she had styled for me. She was poised, professional, and directed me in a way that made me feel confident and natural. The pictures, outfits, and overall experience had us both full of life, energy, and undeniable confidence.
